In 2019, PIVOT, in conjunction with German, Japanese, and Taiwanese design and material R&D institutions, searched for endangered and extinct wood species worldwide. Through a series of R&D work such as extinction museum demonstration, photography, design, typesetting, and proofing, PIVOT developed an endangered rare wood species series to harmonize the design with nature over a period of three years. On the premise of protecting the green natural environment, we can also feel the unique charm brought about by rare wood species without mining and destruction.
